Dr. Townsan and Associates, If there could be a definition of "miracle-worker", I think that Dr. Townsan and his staff would come pretty close to it. I am a 52 year-old woman that, since the age of about 16, has been scared to death of dentists. It was so bad, that I would make it a point to only see a dentist if I was in pain. I had been through so many bad experiences with dentists that it only discouraged me even more to not go see them. Everytime that I did go see one, it ended up being a root canal or pulling the tooth. I had been in pain with my teeth for quite some time, taking "handfuls" of Tylenol just to sort of be comfortable. It got to a point that it affected my sleep and my work. I went online one day and did a search for cosmetic dentists in my area and I found Lynnwood Smiles. I sent them an e-mail explaining exactly how bad my teeth were. I had a tooth that throbbed all the time, most of my teeth were severely discolored and had black spots on them and I didn't do a lot of smiling because my teeth weren't very pretty. The teeth that had root canals done previously had broken off and I had "stubs" for teeth. Needless to say, I was scared to go see another dentist for two reasons. One, because of all the bad experiences I had had and two, because I just KNEW they were going to say they would have to pull all of my teeth because they were that bad. I received an e-mail promptly back from Dr. Townsan's office and they said to come in and see him because they were sure he could help me. After a little bit of hesitation, I made an appointment. My first visit with Dr. Townsan was REMARKABLE! He looked at the tooth that was hurting, and yes, he did say it would have to be pulled, it couldn't be saved. BUT, he also said that he could save another one of the bad teeth and he fixed it the next day. He told me that the "stubs" would have to be pulled also, but the rest of them (black spots and all) could be saved. He referred me to Dr. Whelan for the oral surgery to have 5 teeth pulled and then told me to come back and we would start my treatment plan. The experience with Dr. Whelan was fabulous also, he was wonderful and I had all 5 teeth pulled and felt 99% better already. I went back to Dr. Townsan and we started my treatment plan, including a zoom whitening, and we completed my plan a few weeks ago. Just in time for my daughter's wedding in October. Through the several visits, I have gone from being horrified of dentists, to actually WANTING to go to the dentist. Dr. Townsan AND his staff have made me feel comfortable, they have cared about my fears and have made them go away. My smile now is beautiful and I love to laugh now. I can eat with no pain and I actually FEEL pretty. I have one more procedure to do after the first of the year and then we are going to work on putting in implants for the 5 teeth that had to be pulled. I will be a lifelong patient of Dr. Townsan's because he has given me a pain-free mouth and has made me smile again. I owe SO much to him and his staff and there will never be enough words to express my gratitude to them! Dr. Townsan and his staff are truly my "miracle workers"!

Dr. Townsan has been my dentist for over 30 years and I highly recommend him. He is not only an outstanding dentist but very personable, one who cares about his patients and always makes them comfortable. I've had root canals, onlays, fillings and a small bridge, all with excellent results and virtually pain-free. Because of the work done over the years, my visits now are routine and fairly simple (cleanings, x-rays, etc.) with only the occasional need for additional work.

Dr. Townsan's office is state-of-the-art, but its his skills, experience and personality that make him such an exceptional dentist. He surrounds himself with a highly-skilled staff (including my hygienist, Peggy) and I actually look forward to my six month visits.

Dear Dr Townsan and Staff,

I would like to thank the staff and Dr. Townsan for my visits at your clinic. I'm so pleased with my lower partial and upper denture. I had an upper denture before that didn't fit and they made me look so much older. After Dr. Townsan went through the process of making my new denture and partial, I look so much better and also younger. People at work couldn't figure out what was different about me because of the change. They thought I had a new haircut and just kept looking at me with confusion. I had to laugh to myself because I know what the difference was.. I now can chew my food so much better and feel much better about myself. Lynnwood Smiles are the best for dental work.
